Ride the Waves of Change with Grace
(Registration info here.)
People often equate security with things staying the same: same job, home, relationships, even the same vacation each year.
I am fairly certain that you will agree with me that we are in a time of accelerated change. You can see it in your personal life as well as in the world around you. Things are just not the same. In addition to earth changes, such as earthquakes, erupting volcanoes and global warming, we’re seeing financial challenges that include the devaluing of currency, debt and inflation. People are losing their jobs, homes and divorcing at increasing rates.
So, what can we do?
When in the midst of personal change, it is best to stay grounded, focused and present in the moment, not becoming overcome with anxiety and panic. I suggest practicing techniques that assist you in staying present with your self and quieting the mind. Meditation, mantras, prayer, breathing techniques and centering practices such as yoga and martial arts are suggested. If you practice on a regular basis, you will be able to go to those places inside your self more readily if a big change like divorce, death, illness, job loss touch your life.
Anxiety can affect your health, decision making ability, and bring up deep seated fears about being alone or not having enough money. Relaxation and quieting the mind can affect your ability to adjust to the changes, and even thrive through them. What I notice from my readings and connection to spirit guidance is that it may become necessary to make drastic changes to adjust to the situations we now face. Be open to coming together with others to adjust to big changes. Just as in the Hopi message (sidebar) says, coming together and sharing is powerful. Consider joining others to combine living expenses, downsizing to a smaller place, or even selling your home, if necessary.
Change is in the air whether you choose it or it chooses you. Be prepared, and ride the waves of change with grace, good intentions and assistance from the your own higher Self. If you are local, I will be giving a talk on change and sharing some of the practices at New Renaissance Bookshop tonight, Thursday March 1st.
Blessings to All!

Diana
This is a portion of a powerful quote from the Hopi Elders you may be familiar with…
…There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.
And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all, ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!
Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
